About Us
Learning doesn't stop once you are out of school. You can access a world of information with your library card. You may check out up to 30 items from the library at one time. In addition, our library offers a variety of services from proctoring to one-on-one instructional appointments. We also offer free programs that give our community the chance to connect with one another and learn.
Our Children's Department offers quality programs and resources to prepare your children for school and beyond. We strive to make learning fun--we even have a kangaroo on our staff.
The Local History Room at Goldsboro contains old photographs, genealogy, and reference material pertaining to Wayne County and surrounding states. These materials are for reference only and cannot be checked out.
The Library delivers books to Goldsboro-area retirement homes, helping patrons with limited mobility have access to materials. For more information, please contact the library.
The William Whitfield Smith Community Garden is located in the back of the Goldsboro library parking lot. Community members are invited to take part in this local gardening project. Garden programming for children takes place weekly during the summer.
