Breaking the Chains 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

Description
The Wayne County Coalition for Addiction and Life Management (CALM) invites the community to participate in the 2nd Annual Breaking the Chains 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.
This family-friendly event raises awareness for substance use prevention while promoting health and community connection. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, whether you choose to run the timed 5K or enjoy the untimed 1-mile fun run/walk.
Event Schedule:
- Check-in: 7:30 AM
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: 8:00 AM
- Timed 5K: 9:00 AM
The first 20 registered 5K participants will receive a FREE T-shirt and swag bag, and the top three 5K finishers will receive medals.

The Breaking the Chains 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Check-in and day-of registration begin at 7:30 AM, followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at 8:00 AM and the timed 5K at 9:00 AM.
