Foundation of WCC Arts and Humanities Lecture

The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities fall series continues with “The End of the World as We Know It? A Medievalist’s Perspective on the Apocalypse.”

Brett Whalen will give this lecture in partnership with Carolina Public Humanities on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 147 of WCC’s Pine Building. It is free and open to the public.

Whalen, a professor of medieval religious history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will discuss some of the ways that Christians have made sense out of the world around them by speculating about the end of days—and how some of them might do so again as the apocalyptic year 2033 draws near.
